Ministries

Are you looking for an opportunity to connect in some way?  To be ministered to?  To share your time and/or talents with others who may need your ministries?  You'll find all kinds of opportunities to "plug in" here.  Here are some of our ministries:

Worship ·  Small Groups · Time/Talents

Worship Ministries

Sunday morning services require the participation of a surprising number of people who dedicate their time and effort to ensure that services are meaningful for all who attend.   Opportunities include singing, reading, alter preparation, set up, take down, sound and light operations, bread baking, decorating, candle lighting, assisting with communion, and much more.

Small Group Ministries

If you're looking for other people with interests similar to yours there's a good chance you'll find them in one of our small groups.  Our small group ministries include:

Men's Bike and Bible.  Once-a-month bike ride and Bible study.  (From April through September).

Men's Prayer Breakfast.  Breakfast and Bible Study each Tuesday morning at the Rainbow Cafe on Main St. Time: 6:00-7:00 AM.

Women's Monday Night Small Group.  Bible Study, mutual support and prayer.  Meets 2nd and 4th Mondays at 7:00 PM.

Thursday Evening Bible Study.  Bible study on Thursday evening.

Stephen Ministry.  A Christ-centered, care giving ministry at Messiah, watch your newsletter for details.

Senior Actioneers.  Activities and fellowship for retired people.  Meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Activities include potlucks, guest speakers, and outings to local areas of interest.

Memory Makers.  Fun and fellowship for Messiah's "middle-agers." Meets monthly. Activities include potlucks, participation in the annual Cancer Walk, and an annual "soup and games" night.

Women's Circles.  Women who are interested in small group Bible Study are encouraged to join one of our Circles.

Quilters.  Each year the quilters make many quilts, and provide quilts, school kits, and boxes of soap and clothing to Lutheran World Relief, the Lutheran Compass Center in Seattle, and families in need in the Auburn area.  The quilters meet on Wednesday mornings at 9:00 AM and Tuesday Evening at 6:30 - September through May, excepting December.

Time / Talents

Are you handy with a hammer, paintbrush or screwdriver?  Do you have a passion for taking care of children?  Do you have a great ear for music?  Your time and talents are needed!  There are a variety of ways through which you will find ways to serve others by simply participating in the activities you love doing.
